Traditionally a very hot dish from Kohlapuri in Southern India. However, this recipe allows you to create this wonderful curry either mild, medium or hot.

We have thoroughly researched and tested every one of our dishes to ensure we bring you the most authentic and delicious recipes available, enabling you to create meals, normally only associated with expensive restaurants and at a fraction of the price.

All the herbs, spices and seasonings have been personally selected, blended and sealed for optimum freshness and aroma
Step 1. Place the onion and spice mix 1 into a blender or food processor along with 1 tbsp of water, blend until smooth.

Step 2. Heat the oil over a medium heat and add the liquidised ingredients. Fry until the onions soften.

Step 3. Add spice mix 2 to the onion mix and fry for 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 4. Add the tomatoes along with the water and the meat of your choice simmer until meat is cooked through.

Step 5. Add the whole green chillies along with spice mix 3, simmer for 5 minutes.

Chef’s Tip

If a mild dish is preferred leave out the whole green chillies

If a medium-hot dish is preferred cut the tops of the whole chillies and use as instructed, discard before serving

If a hot dish is preferred slice the chillies length-ways and add including the seeds, do not remove

Step 6. Remove from the heat and stir in coriander leaves.
